I lost the explorer extension for MPC-BE. I used to right click on a file or DVD folder on PC and I could choose to play with MPC-BE. This seems to have started when I got a new Laptop and updated to Windows 11. I tried reinstalling MPC-BE and even installing an older version. Anybody else have this issue ?

Windows 11 moved a lot of things that were previously on the context menu to a sub-menu that is accessed by selecting "Show More Options". However, MPC-BE doesn't appear on the sub-menu and has to be selected via "open with" on the sub-menu although, unfortunately, "open with" isn't available for folders. I also use VLC, which does appear on the sub-menu, so apparently, MPC-BE's developers have not made the necessary changes for Windows 11.

  3. Are you talking about the context mneu which can be installed during installation or the ones which are in options -> player -> formats -> right lower corner -> the two checkboxes?

The Devs have already made a change in commits which is about the big vs. little "round corners" in right click menu, so I doubt they don't tested context menu.

I went here options -> player -> formats -> right lower corner -> the two checkboxes ,but the two boxes were greyed out. I clicked modify and then was able to check the "Explorer context menu" two icons Directory and Files. This worked, I now have the Explorer extention when I right click on a DVD folder.
    Thanks guys.
