  1. Hello
I have just entered the world of VCD and have completed one successfully...but I have just encoded a film from avi to vcd and the first cd plays fine while the 2nd plays, but has no audio...is there any way to add the wav onto an already converted vcd file or will I have to encode the 2nd one again.
Scondly I have d/l a file from the net with name
FILMNAME.CD2.xvid-deity.ShareReactor.avi when I d/l this it said it was vcd......do I need to convert this file or can i burn it and play it on my dvd?

    thx in advance

If you want to get sound on a file with no sound, you have re-encode it again.

Second, to make an AVI file play on VCD, you have to convert it MPEG-2, DVD format, then it can be burned onto a DVD.

  3. Thx 4 replying Tommyknocker but I was wonderering ....I read in one of the newbie things that any d/l that is on 2 cd's has more than likely been converted to vcd..but does this mean that it has been encoded to avi for sharing purposes and I will have to encode to vcd again

    cheers

When you encode the second disk to MPEG-1, why not add the audio then? There is no way to add audio to an already encoded file. You must encode it again.
