Hey,
I captured PAL VHS tapes to 640x480 MPEG using EzCap and ShowBiz DVD 2, on a Win7 64bit PC.
I tried converting to AVI using VirtualDub-MPEG w. deinterlacing filter, but received horrible audio sync probs. I think the problems aren't from converting - as even viewing the file on VDub gives audio sync probs
Any ideas which software I should use? It must be 64bit as some files are around 5GB large (the audio sync prob also happens with smaller files).
Another option is to split the MPEG to smaller files then convert to AVI with a non 64bit program. Which 64bit MPEG splitter do you recommend?
Thanks guys!

your settings seem wrong. for pal mpeg-2 it should be 720x576. there may be some extra rendering going on to make 640x480 that is throwing off the sync.

Thanks but that isn't the problem.
The capture went fine - I now have 640x480 MPEGs which show great with Win Media Player. No sync problems whatsoever.
But when I try playing them in VirtualDub - it just doesn't sync.
What I need is another MPEG to AVI converter, that's 64Bit and can sync.
And because a few of my files are larger than my memory, a good 64bit MPEG splitter would help a lot too.
Thanks!
