I haven't been getting any e-mail notifications.
Yes, I checked the address and the check boxes for notification.
I don't block anything, messages my ISP (Spectrum) ID's as 'Spam' (usually incorrectly) are sent, marked as spam in the heading. They are not blocked here. I have checked their web site to see if anything is placed elsewhere, but not so.

Why are ones and zeros so complicated? Linear Video Editing was easier. Downloading & streaming are two different things.

This has nothing to do with check-boxes ( normally for private messaging)
Underneath the 'Messaging and Notification' heading you will see a 'Default Thread Subscription Mode'.
Open the drop-down box to select the one you want. 'Instantly, using email' will give you an email notification AFTER your own post. You have to visit the forum, even if you do not post, to get more. -
I see no 'Messaging and Notification' under Settings.

Go to the topic page. Just above the first post on the right you will see 3 choice options:
Thread Tools, Search Thread & Display.
Click Thread Tools. On the drop-down menu, choose Subscribe to this Thread.
On the next page, you will see Notification Type (under Subscribe to Thread).
Use the drop down menu to select one of the following:
1) Through my control panel only
2) Instant notification by email
3) Daily updates by email
4) Weekly updates by email
Then click Add Subscription.
Personally, I subscribe manually to a thread.
Defaulting to getting an email when you make a casual response to a thread but you're not arsed if someone replies back is similar to being "spammed" (i.e. getting an unnecessary/unwanted email).Last edited by mike20021969; 23rd Aug 2019 at 02:29.

Or as I already stated Settings > Forum >> Forum Settings to set this for ALL the threads you post to
I do not ever recall making any adjustment to this. It is the default AFAIK -
I have that set that way as I do with any forum I register to, but nothing.
It was set unchecled.
To do it with every thread is too tedious and annoying and way too easy to forget to do. Anything I don't want to follow I can go back and uncheck, but most forums, if you don't respond the notifications cease anyway.
As to the 1st method, it shows I'm already subscribed to this thread anyway. Why are ones and zeros so complicated? Linear Video Editing was easier. Downloading & streaming are two different things. -
Well do, once more, check your profile and the email addr. There are two boxes. The one on the right serves to confirm the entry for the one on the left.
You will have to enter your password to make any changes here.
When my email changed, it was a simple matter to make those changes and notifications have always continued. As I said above, you only get one after your last post but once you visit the forum again, even without posting, you should get notifications for all threads you have contributed to unless to unsubscribe to that thread.
Other than that I can only suggest you contact Baldrick to see if he is getting any 'delivery error' report from your entered email addr. -
Also go you your list of subscriptions to see if it lists the topics you have contributed to.
If the list shows the topics, all, subject to the above comments, should be working from the forum's POV -
Yep. My server can't send to your email address:

I have no idea why it's blocked.
My server 95.211.211.134 is not blocked by Spamhaus Zen or SURBL.
http://www.anti-abuse.org/multi-rbl-check-results/?host=95.211.211.134
https://mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx?action=blacklist%3a95.211.211.134&run=toolpage
Reverse DNS works:
RDNS for 95.211.211.134 is: [videohelp.com] - (PTR record - 134.211.211.95.in-addr.arpa)
IP Address for videohelp.com is: [95.211.211.134]
SUCCESS! - Forward Confirmed Reverse DNS is CORRECT!
The IP address for the reverse lookup name matches the original IPLast edited by Baldrick; 4th Sep 2019 at 04:17.

I haven't received an e-mail notifications for many months now, and Instant notification by email is still my Default Thread Subscription Mode. Is it because of my e-mail address as well?
-
My server has been blocked by that evil company. I have never sent any spam from this server. But it might be enough that a few reports some emails as spam and it will be blocked.
Code:said: 550 5.7.1 Unfortunately, messages from [95.211.211.134] weren't sent. Please contact your Internet service provider since part of their network is on our block list (S3140).

The same thing probably happened to me then. Would using a different e-mail address fix the problem?

It says "Blocked due to user complaints or other evidence of spamming"
It might be one user.
Edit: The complaints rate is < 0.1% but still blocked.
Edit2: I will set up a "Junk Mail Reporting Program" and they might unblock my server
Edit3: It doesn't work. Don't use outloooook!!!Last edited by Baldrick; 15th Oct 2020 at 11:21.

Finally!
It should work now. I'm using a secondary server until microsoft unblocks me. -
Roadrunner/Spectrum has finally removed the email block. Outlook emails should work but they probably ends up in the Junk folder.
-
Great! It just took a year to remove the spectrum ban.....
