I rendered for 2 hours a 17 minute video, when i came back back home i saw this error message. What is strange: the file seems to have rendered normally.. cant spot anything wrong. Yet, im still paranoid and considering rendering again... what could have triggered this error? Never seen this before and im working my same 1080p template i've been using for years. In fact I did render this same project the other day and didn't trigger any errors.

you never know. it could have been a ram error or there might have been a hard drive write error.

Anything in the Event Viewer perhaps ? (If there's a warning as vague as "the reason for the error could not be determined" it won't be helpful... é_è)

This is a Vegas-specific problem with MP4 files. I assume you were using the Sony h.264 encoder and not the Mainconcept. I have seen that message many times when I choose any frame rate other than one of the defaults. Did you choose a frame rate other than 23.976, 24, 25, 29.97 or 59.94? If so, that is probably the problem. The Sony encoder also throws this error message with other "non-standard" settings, including really high bitrates.
Vegas Pro 13 is as far as I went, so I do know it pretty well. I still use versions 7, 8, 10, & 11. None of them does a very good job with h.264, so long ago I started frameserving into MeGUI. It provides much better results, IMHO. -
Im using this presset:
Use this setting to create an MP4 (AVC/AAC) file for progressive internet downloads.
Audio: 192 Kbps; 44.100 Hz; 16 Bit; Stereo; AAC
Video: 29,970 fps; 1920x1080 Progressive; YUV; 20 Mbps
Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1,000 -

I render it again, and the error happened. I have the window opened now, can someone tell me where to look the event error log?

Any ideas? I dont know why this happening. Maybe because I have little space left? should I try rendering again with more space? when im finished there is only 800 megs free.

yes that is a possibility. you need at least as much space in vegas's temp folder as the final video. if you can add another drive i'd try again with plenty of drive space to spare.--
