I have a Managnox VCR/DVD player combo from 2009. It says it was manufactured in October 2009. Now since the analog to digital switch happened in June 2009, would this machine work with digital ATSC? Yes, I'm aware that VHS quality would suck and this isn't a DVD recorder, but would it?

If only there was a model number in your post someone might look up the the specs and provide you with the information you want. Alas there is none.
The manufacture date tells you nothing about the presence of an ATSC tuner. Magnavox made some VCR/DVD player combo units with no tuner after the 2009 DTV transition. The VCR would only record from its composite video and analog stereo audio connections.Ignore list: hello_hello, tried, TechLord, Snoopy329
