I wound up deleting and reinstalling a bunch of codecs on my system, and now I get blocky looking video when I play an avi regardless of the player I use. It doesn't seem to happen on mpegs though. I wound up installing the Nimo codec pack. What codec do avi's use, and which one will get rid of the blocks and give me the best video?
Thanks,
Ed B.

Avi's mostly use DivX codecs but they can also use others(Xvid is i'm not confused)
The blocks are probably in your AVI file, cuz no codec can create such things...
Maybe it's a good id to convert the AVI to Mpeg, that CAN solve the block problem...Wanne earn something a couple of dollars?
