  1. Hi,

when i compare videos between "ffplay" and any other software-player, like PotPlayer, I can see a Filter, specially Noisreduction is active.
How can I disable all Filters to play Videos without Rendering ? May anyone can tell me the settings to do this. Thanks.
And further, Iam using a Eizo Monitor with expanded Colorspace (Adobe RGB). Are there settings to exploit the full Potential ?

Iam using PowerDVD 10 too. All earlier Versions (11-17) use a tiny Noisereduction i think.

  2. Use player where you can control desired area. If your HW is sufficient madvr with adequate player is good option (i recommends MPC-HC but you may wish to use alternatively MPC-BE).

  3. Go to your graphics card's setup applet and turn off all the video processing filters. For example, Intel's applet:

  4. @pandy I used MPC. Now iam using Potplayer. Still more settings. Yes, madvr is a good option to upscaling chroma. But I hope anyone have experience and can answer my first question
@jagabo I have Nvidia, not built-in Intel. And just the Graphic driver is installed, without any features to influence the Picturequality

  5. Video processing may be enabled in NVidia - follow jagabo advice and check NVidia video overlay option. By using madvr you have advanced control over processing aspects, MPC-HE or MPC-BE quite nicely integrate with madvr and as such i doubt that you will find anything so advanced yet fully controllable.

Only disadvantage of MadVR is it doesn't fully respects MKV specs. Virtual copping and some other things that EVR in MPC-BE supports.

I showed Intel's applet as an example because that's what was in the computer I was using when I posted. Nvidia has similar features and controls.

  8. Iam not really sure anyone understand what i want. Sorry for my Englisch

    @jagabo
I Know all the settings you did show me. Thank you, but it doesnt really help. By the Way, the Nvidia control panel has noting to do with noisereduction of Videos.
As is said, in ffplay the videos looks more clear than in any other softwareplayer. The grain is more visible.

Then why did you say earlier " I have Nvidia, not built-in Intel. And just the Graphic driver is installed, without any features to influence the Picturequality"???

Nonsense. Why do you think there's such a setting in the control panel applet? It may well be that the feature is disabled already (you haven't stated so), but when players use the feature it definitely reduces noise in the video.

That may be because ffplay uses Windows GDI (which doesn't apply the Nvidia video filters) but but all the other player use the more advanced video renderers (which apply the Nvidia video filters) by default. Not all programs get video to the monitor using the same mechanism.

All the player's I've used don't apply noise reduction themselves by default.

Just a information. Cause i Know this setting of a earlier PC-running system

"without any features to influence the Picturequality"
...What I mean with "features" is the Nvidia Geforce Experience Panel

"Nonsense. Why do you think there's such a setting in the control panel applet?"
I can not see any different in the Videograin between the settings (on/off). The Behaviour between ffplay and any other Player is still the same.

  11. There is no such noise reduction like you said for sure. You looks like misunderstanding something else. Probably colorspace conversion related?

If ffplay output as RGB, you can force it in Potplayer too though it is not recommended.
