dickemmanen,
You may not have to split things up. Depending on what your using to say you have an 850meg file, you might be OK with your 700mb/80min cdr. Some programs/utilities define a megabyte as 1048576 bytes (1024 x 1024), some as 1024000 (1024 x 1000) and some as 1000000 bytes (1000 x 1000). What you may have, if its a VCD standard and not much more than 80 mins, just enough to fit on one cdr.
What I usually do to check is load the mpg in Nero like I was going to burn and see what will actually fit within the 80mins. If its not going to fit, you have a few options.
1-If its not much more than 80 mins, say 81 to 82mins tops, and your burner and cdrs support overburning, then just overburn.
2-If no overburn...Using the MPEG Tools in TMPGenc, use MERGE/CUT to clip off the beginning or end (or just some bad scenes, like nudity
) of the mpgs and make it under the 80min mark. Things like opening and closing scenes and credits can do wonders for gaining size.
3-Perhaps a combination will do. Cut out a total of 10 minutes or between the two files, merge the two pieces together, re-cut to fit on 2 cdrs.
4-The good old merge, cut and burn to 3 cdrs as suggested earlier.
5-Get some 90min CDRs. 8)
Hope this helps,Have a good one,
neomaine
