    To clarify the above.

    Sony Blu-Ray players can not (or at least easily) be changed.

    For the sake of pedantic clarity Sony Blu Ray/ DVD Players (happy now ?) can not (or at least easily) be changed.

    There are Region Free Sony Blu Ray/ DVD Players out there (Region Free for the dvd part only) but these have been hardware modified. Do not expect Sony to provide any manufacturer support for these.

    You can also find some Multi Zone Sony Blu Ray/ DVD Players. These have also been hardware modified. Again no support from Sony.
