Hi - i am a very newbie to VLC!
After 'mastering' what i need to know so far i love it - just having an issue with recording however.
with some files i record it records exactly where i want it nd thats great.
with some other files i press record and then stop it and it misses the first 2-3 seconds of recording which is really annoying. With the work i do i need this to be precise.
im guessing its to do with videos im converting over but why some videos and not others - and if i am converting do i need to pay attention to a particular output format?

    can anybody offer any help?

    thanks

sorry - should have said - im using a mac but i know the probalems also on a windows laptop - using latest vlc versions

What is your video source? Live video?

Or else find an editor where you can cut exactly. Maybe avidemux for mac.
