What are your using to record these channels? DVD recorder, VCR, or something else?

Can you record local over-the-air broadcast TV channels carried by FIOS? Is it literally every cable channel or just some of them (and what are they)?

The only recent change I have heard of is that Fox asked Verizon FIOS (and others) to enable copy-once protection for the channels they own. Are you having trouble with anything other than FX, FS1, FS2, BTN, FBN, Fox News, NatGeo, NatGeoWild, FXX, FXM, FCSA, FCSC, FCSP, FX HD, FS1 HD, BTN HD, FBN HD, Fox News HD, NatGeo HD, NatGeoWild HD, FXX HD?

By "HDD Recorders" I assume you mean you are using DVD recorders with a hard drive. If not, please provide the make and model of whatever other device this is.

If you have HDD DVD recorders are you using one of its an analog video connection to record rather than the tuners? If so, then you need a device that removes the copy protection flags from composite and S-video. One member here recommends the Dimax Grex for this purpose.

I have finally resolved the issue, broke out my old decoder and this works good on my magnovox hard drive recorder, but I had to buy the Grex decoder and it works fine on my pioneer hard drive recorder. Of course it don,t record in HD.i record it in SD and the blacked out portions on top and bottom aren,t bad. Picture doesn't,t look distorted.
