    Hi,

    I recently uninstalled the k-lite codec pack after having problems with pc lockups when viewing videos.

    I installed the program InstalledCodec from nirsoft that loads up all the codecs on the computer. It highlights ones that are faulty and not working properly.

    I'm still getting lock-ups after removing the k-lite codec pack, and today I loaded up InstalledCodec and it says there is an issue with these codecs;

    MainConcept MP4 Demultiplexer
    MainConcept MP4 Push Demultiplexer
    MainConcept MPEG Demultiplexer
    MainConcept Stream Parser

    So I'm wondering where I could re-download these codecs from? When I did a search online it took me to the mainconcept dot com website that was selling them as a package. I don't want to pay for codecs.

    Oh, also I did uninstall a DivX player yesterday too, so maybe they are left over from that?

    The Stream Parser was installed on the 7th of October 2012, while the others were installed more recently on 10th of October 2015.

    Anyone any ideas what I should do? The InstalledCodec program as the option to disable the codec. Shall I do that? Do I even need those Codecs? By the way they are all DirectShow Filter types.

    Uninstall all the codec packs and instal LAV Filters.
    It's not important the problem be solved, only that the blame for the mistake is assigned correctly

    I only had k-lite codec pack installed.

    From what I can tell after poking around some more, is that they are from the DivX player I had installed. I uninstalled that yesterday. I guess it didnt remove all of its codecs.

    Is it possible to remove individual codecs? If so, how is this done? At the moment I've disabled those codecs highlighted.
