    Hello im new to the board and looking for a lil advice.
    Basicly im trying to use DVDs as a source footage to edit with, so I turn it to a VOB with DVDFab, then plan on clipping them in Virtualdub then bring them in to AE to edit them. Problem is that these clips that are coming out of virtualdub are rather large but I would rather not lose any quality if I can.
    Strangely AE seems to handle Virtualdubs AVI rather well but should I be doing something else like converting to mpeg?
    Anyway im about 1 season out of 7 and just wondering if there's a better way to do this or any other advice welcome

    Try VOB2MPG or Mpg2Cut2.
