I own this card and cannot find any info on the VIVO functionality. I am able to capture from my DV Cam via S-video and use the Video Out features just fine.. but I have not found how to utilize the TV-Tuner built into this card. I am not sure how I am supposed to get a signal into the card without a coax connection?

Also would it be better to purchase a seperate tuner all together for PVR functionality?

    Thank you,
    Rob

It is truly amazing... with all the registered members in this forum I cannot believe I didn't get even one response.

I love vcdhelp.com but these forums are simply pathetic. Guess I am headed back to Hardforums or Sharkyforums.com to get my DV related questions... what a shame

  4. The card should have come with a cord that looks like a Y connector. You have to use that. One side of the S-VIdeo "Y" is the input, the other is the output. And on the Xtasy CD, there are WDM drivers that you have to install. Should work after that.

Are you sure it actually has a TV tuner? TV in/TV out doesn't necessarily mean it has a tuner. My Gainward Geforce4 4200 has VIVO, but the y-connector is for svideo/coax ONLY. If you don't have a coax connector built into the board, I can almost guarantee that you don't have a tuner. I had thought the Geforce4 family of cards didn't have integrated tuners, but I suppose a manufacturer could add one.

I get TV signals into my card by using my VCR as a passthrough -- the rca outputs of my VCR are a format that the card can accept.
