  1. I thought i would post again since i ddi not list several details:
This is John Q 694mb..AVI file ..this is what it does.....

IT SAYS: ACM failed to suggest audio decompression format.
and than another error pops up SAYING:
    AVIoutputWAV invalid.

This is in virtual dub..it doesnt even convert without audio conversion in TMGENC..we already know that. When i open file information in Virtualdub ..the lists no compression ..i think that maybe the problem! How do i do that>>?? ANYBODY? TOMMY? THANX

Sounds like you have a codec missing, have you installed the popular ones by using the Nimo codec pack ?. Does the AVI play OK in WMP?

The Nimo codec pack installs all of the popular codec's, if you have installed just a few you may still have some missing, you may have older ones, you may have less quality ones, including audio codec's like AC3.

Any file on your CDR will become read only, you cannot alter a file on a CDR !!, when you copy it back to your hard drive it will retain the attributes including read only, when on your hard drive you can then change it back to read/write

Also trying to "Move" a file from the CDR to hard drive will also give an error, as the original cannot be deleted from a CDR
