the OP thought there was 1GB HD1080, and wanted to know how to replicate it, but other posts in the thread addressed other issues and points and its normal and needed to keep the information flowing in a thread like this to address future visitors' potential questions as well as to generate talking points and things to build on

anyway. it really is not alot of text.. your computer just makes it look bigger.. digital text always looks longer and bigger than paper-printed text

You seem to only partly understand human perception of optical resolution.

Because the human eye perceives things clearly down to a certain arc curvature, NOT just on a pixel level and not on a dpi level. Distance to the image is of just as prime importance.
So it is very understandable to perceive the equivalent detail of a 1080 image on a 60" screen viewed from 90" away as the same image viewed at the same resolution on a 6" screen when viewed from 9" away (assuming both devices are fully capable).

Also, your understanding of what constitutes HD is flawed and clearly stems from a layman's secondhand, anecdotal buzzfeed.

I could go on, but it is clear to most here that you are just expounding to yourself because you seem to be vainly enamoured of yourself, not because you want to engage in helpful pro-consumer scientific discourse.

and no, I never said I was clear exactly how the human eye perceives said detail, nor to what degree the eye is able to distinguish separate pixels, nor at which point resolution : Screen Size: Distance from Screen becomes redundant to the Human Eye, and is bypassed

If black holes did exist, you could drop a big huge vast gigantic HD video into it and reduce it to a teensty-weentsy tiny itty-bitty (i.e., really small) video, and (as per Carl Sagan) the number of really big humongous videos you could fit into that black hole would be billions and billions and billions and billions.

That would be hog heaven for the "huge file -> tiny file + maintain-high-PQ" crowd. All they would need is a portable device to retrieve and play that stuff. I have a feeling that such a gizmo will appear on store shelves any day now.

it gets weird there , that HD video crossing into black hole gets copied into insanely small surface, it is decompressed bit by bit into area probably using planck square as a bit storage unit as a measure for storage, insane storage capacity there, the whole movie could be stored in a room smaller that any atom

but what is happening with original HD movie remains mystery, maybe is being destroyed later closing singularity, maybe it gets burned at black hole horizon , all depends perhaps where I watch that falling video from

codec to decompress that video would be a mystery, perhaps we can read video stored like that after we know all laws for universe and having unlimited time at our disposal

but Susskind bunch goes a bit further, latest is, and this is weird, the information is in that horizon bit by bit, all black hole content, it goes hand in hand with holographic universe, it then can evaporate back or whatever, point is that content gets copied before ends up in a black hole, whatever happens after falling into black hole and therefore disappearing from our grasp, content is either changing into angels and they are flying there up and down, without a chance to come back, seriously, nobody will ever know , or perhaps falling content is crushed into singularity or something else, time in there is not our time, space is not ours too, so not sure if it makes sense to think about this at all what is actually inside
