  1. Greetings:

Currently I copy the VCD to a Di8, transfer to my computer and used Ulead video to export the sound to a *.WAV files then burn it. I am wondering if there is a better, more direct and faster way of capturing the sound from a VCD without using Digital camcorder at all. Is it possible to capture the sound while playback the VCD on my computer?

Advance thanks for any kind of input and help.

    My sys:

Tbirds 800, 256 MB SDRAM, 150GB HD, SoundBlaster Live Value, 3D prophet MX retail.

Launch Gold Wave and see if it can load the DAT file from your VCD into it. If it does, save that puppy as a .wav file.

Some vcds you can open the dat file directly in virtual dub. Select you begining and end points and select save wav from menu.

For vcd dats with no header use vcdgear to turn the dat file to an mpeg.
