There really aren't any desserts I'd refuse but a favorite for me would be:

    Cookies.

Basically any kind. Sugar cookies, oreos, chocolate chips, peanut butter, whatever.

Again I am not too picky on desserts but I lean more toward baked goods. Not so much into ice cream but I do like slushes and ICEE drinks like a slurpee.

I figured this would be too difficult to offer as a poll suggestion since polls are coming back. An open discussion is better.

Boston Cream Pie (which is actually a cake) or German Chocolate Cake...... mmmmmmmmmmmmm

  6. If I have to choose just one, I think it would be homemade blueberry pie a la mode. You know, for the health benefits. But I like almost anything classified as a dessert. And chocolate. But that's a food group unto itself.

  9. My favorite would have to be my mom's home made apple dumplings. The only dessert I refuse to eat is bread pudding!

Hahaha, where's the icing? I used to make those too. Everybody loves 'em. Are you a baker? Those look great.

Oh, wait a minute. Cardamom? Mine were cinnamon. They way I made them was I started with a sweet dough and rolled it out into a rectangle. Then butter basted the top, sprinkled with a cinnamon/sugar mixture, then fold it in half longways.

Then cut strips from the short side, twist them, and loop around into a circle, then let 'em proof about an hour, then brown. The icing was powdered sugar mixed with water, drizzled off the fingertips straight across or swirly.

You can hardly find them anymore in the donut shops or bakeries around here. Thanks for the memory.

Yep, cardamom. Sweet dough and cardamom-butter-sugar-filling. My favorite buns.

I don't like icing on buns.

    It's an adverb

Spotted comes from the currents inside. No dried fruit, you'd end up with a Dick.

Lemon Meringue Pie, but only on rare occasions.

i like the lemon filling on the thick and tangy side, not dripping while cutting it. same for the white topping. i like it more marshmellow-ly-like, and stretchy. i dont' like it when it desolves in your mouth the second it enters.

Oh, OK, so that's a local favorite in your locale. A "Spotted Dick" here in America isn't a good thing, except maybe in West Hollywood. And then, only if "Spotted" means "Seen", not "Spots all over". hahaha

I guess Tiramisu, but other than rhubarb pie or Indian pudding (a baked concoction comprised mainly of milk, cornmeal, suet and molassas) I like dessert, period.
