i was just looking at a clip of cartman performing a lady gaga song and started thinking, what are some of the greatest characters ever to appear in a tv show, here's my list:

cartman - easily the best character on south park

bender - futurama

Q - my favorite star trek: next generation episodes involve Q

archie - he made "all in the family"

sophia - the mother from golden girls was a pisser

dean - he gives "supernatural" some welcome comic relief

stewie - easily the best character on family guy, though quagmire and that perverted old man are pretty funny too
