I see in the yahoo trends something about a termniator reboot.

That got me to wondering. When did they start using the term "reboot" for movies that are starting the stories over?

Recently I would think it would be Batman Begins and the 2009 Star Trek movie. Those are what I would think of when I think of "reboot" for a movie series.

Now would every James Bond movie with a new Bond count as a reboot? If so then the first and only James Lazenby (spelling?) movie On Her Majestys Secret Service would count as a reboot I guess.

Although more appropriately for Bond I would think Casino Royale would be for Daniel Craig as its supposed to be his first time as a 00. Not a continuation with a different actor.

So I'm not sure when this reboot term started to be used. Thoughts?
