No device found while using Iogear GUH420 hub for capture video

I'm trying to capture video from my JVC GRD750U using IOGEAR GUH420. Because I don't have firewire port in my computer. But there is no response. I tried several ways to connect but still nothing. If i use usb port my computer says device not recognize (unknown device). I use firewire 4 pin in my camera and firewire 6 port in the hub aswell as 4 pin firewire in camera and other usb in my Hub or pc but nothing happend. Can any one help me how can I capture my video with that. sorry for my poor english.

That hub does not convert a firewire connection to USB it is only a USB hub and firewire hub in one box, you still need to have a firewire port on your computer and you have to connect it to the hub. You need to go and buy a firewire card for your PC.
