Today I have been trying to convert some sub files on a video to srt, using Subresync in VobSub, and I don't see what's the point.
It's asking me every letter that I already wrote down, once and again, as if it was not OCRing as it should.
I tried with SubRip and on the screen you just see blurs, not letters or anything.
Those are the only tools available for that?
Of course I will not do it, but for the time it takes to use Subresync you can simply play the video on the PC, where it does show the subtitles, and simply go on writing the text.
Perhaps this is one video to watch on the computer, and not on the TV.

No. You can try subextractor and subtitle edit instead.

Or do you mean hardcoded subs in video? Nope. I don't know any other ocr software.

I didn't need to extract the sub file, just OCR it. And SE did that beautifully.
