Hi. This is my first post, as I've only just discovered this forum. I'll probably be coming here fairly often!
I recently downloaded a film via torrent, only to discover that the extension is .tmp. As far as I'm aware the file downloaded in its entirety. The problem is that now I cannot open it. When I do try to open it using one of the various media players installed on my PC, I see a 30 second clip telling that says "You can't play this file. You need to download: FREE Nice Player Toolbar."
Does anyone know of an alternative way of opening and /or converting this file to .avi format, and I don't really want to install the toolbar suggested.
Thanks to whoever can be bother replying.
Florio

That's what I first thought too. But the file did load completely (almost 800 Mb), and took quite a while to do so. I also checked out the Nice Player Toolbar, and it seems like a legit kind of free software. The thing is that I don't want another toolbar on my browser page and, in any case, if the film can be viewed using the toolbar they recommend, then it should also be playable on other software.
