Im looking at a new Sony Vaio RX-755 2.0 GHZ computer with 16x dvd-rom was just wondering if there were any issues with conversion on this computer? I need something i can rip DVDs' with and was wondering if this would the trick?

I don’t know anything at all about this computer, but for a guess I would think the only thing "Sony" would be the badge on the front
Or maybe they do have motherboard, ram, graphic cards that are good.
You would need to list everything it has, Graphic card, memory, hard drive before people can see exactly what it is, However most people look at the CPU see its powerful and that is good enough.
I don’t see any problems with a machine built around a 2G processor, Intel would be best thoughother than that the 16X DVD drive would/should be just fine for ripping DVD's

I bought the new hp instead, quite a few compatability issues with the sony. Unless of course your using sony products! Like you said its just "the badge on the front".
