I would like to connect my Sony VCR to my computer. Both units have cable connectors and RCA plugs. When I connect the tv cable from the wall to the VCR and then to the computer, it feeds the TV but not the VCR tapes. Should I use the RCA plugs or the cable connectors?
Thanks,
Bill

I'm assuming you can see the cable TV going through the VCR but not when you play the tape?

If you can hook the VCR up to a TV and see the tape playing hooking it up to your computer should produce the same results. If the tapes in question are commercial tapes then they most likely are not viewable because of copy protection. Test with a non-commercial tape such as one you recoreded yourself if that is the case.
