  1. I really need your help......!!!
Something went wrong with my pc that force me to re-format my hard disc and made a clean installation of windows ME.

Everything goes well until I run VirtualDub to capture movie from satellite TV that cannot be played in Windows Media Player 7.1. These never happened before I reformatted my HD, also using the same OS.

I captured the movie using PAL resolution of 352X288 with huffyuv codec.

Anything to be set before AVI can be played in Windows Media Player...???
I already checked all format including AVI to associate with this player.
Do I need a codec to play AVI...?? What it's name...??Where to find....??
    Help me...........

  6. What should I do..???
The captured files can be played in Media Player before I reformatted the HD.

I just checked with avi files I stored which I captured few months ago, and no problem playing it in Media Player.

Get rid of WIndows ME, that's a good first thing to do.

WHat is the final destination of the video, DIVX, MPEG?

    GO ahead and do that.

  9. Dumb question's as I'm not an expert, but just for some extra info to your problem.
    1) What happen's when you load up the footage in Virtual Dub to edit, can you see the video footage then?
    2) What happen's when you frameserve to TMPGenc, can you see the fottage & can it be converted to mpeg then,(can WMP see it then?).
Take 2 mins of your captured footage, framserve to TMPGenc,& test it in Media Player then.
