Hi,
I have some videos recorded with my blackberry in 3GP at wrong angles.
I downloaded AVIdemux_2.5.6 but unable to work around with it.
Also tried Free Video Flip and Rotate by DVDVideoSoft but not statisfied with the output quality.
Pls advice rotating these without loosing the quality & also converting them to some other format such .avi, .mp4 or .mkv.

Use avidemux:
Open your video.
Under Video change to MPEG-4 AVC.
Click Filters and under Transform double click on Rotate. Select 270 degrees.Close
Under Format choose mp4.
File->Save->Save Video and save your video as video.mp4 (with the extension!).
If you want to adjust the bitrate/quality then click on Configure under Video and drag the quality to a lower setting. -
This is one area where I think QT Pro might actually be the better choice.
You just load up your 3GP video, do [Ctrl] + [J] (aka Window | Show Movie Properties), select/highlight the video track, click on the visual settings tab, click on one of the flip/rotate buttons until it is set the way you want, close the window and do [Save As].
Of course, this will give it a .MOV extension. If you want it to be a .3gp file again, you'll have to do an [Export], but you can often/likely use the "Passthrough" options on the Video+Audio codecs and avoid recompression. Worked for me when I just tried it!

Thanks Baldrick for your reply.
Did the needful as suggested but the output mp4 file was almost the half size of the original 3gp file.
Has it compromised with the quality?
Also, what would be the codec for videos recorded on iPhone like you suggested MPEG-4 AVC for 3gp? -
Doesn't the iphone use mp4/m4v with mpeg4 avc/h264? No apple products here...
Yes, it has compromised the quality but if you don't SEE any difference it's pretty good anyway. But you can adjust the quality/bitrate settings to get less quality loss and a bigger file. In Avidemux click on Configure under Video and drag the quality to a lower setting, try for example around 12. -
Yes, use the file->append to load more 3gp files. The files must have same properties or it wont work. If you don't need to rotate then can you try use video->copy and audio->copy and save as new mp4. No video reconversion so no quality loss at all.

Not what I said. Did you?...
1 Save to. MOV first.
2 Reopen and EXPORT to MP4/3GP, while
3 Selecting PASSTHROUGH in the video & audio codecs
Without those steps, you are re-encoding.
