Hello, a little about my setup, I have a Dell 8200 with a P4 1.8, 60 gb hd, 768 mb rd ram, nec 5800a dvdrom, hp dvd writer 200i, nvidia 64mb gforce 2 w/tvout, santa cruz trutle beach sound card, 4 usb, 3 usb2, and 2 1394 firewire ports, dazzle holloywood dv bridge, jvc svhs, sylvania dvd player, apex ad-660 dvd player.
I just got the hp dvdwriter and I have the dvd player and the svhs player hooked to the pc thru the dazzle bridge via the firewire port. I use the sonic mydvd that came with the burner, I choose the copy at once and I play either a svhs tape or a dvd movie in the players and select burn on the mydvd, the pic quality on the burned dvd is great but, it takes upward of 6 hours to do this, is there a faster way? Also, I am using 4.7 gb media that is supposed to yield 120 min of disc space yet I only seem to get 100 min of disc space, never quite enough to get all of most movies, anything to do about that? Or should I be downloading the movies and editing and converting from there? Thanx
