  1. I would mux .m2v + .ac3 + .sub/.sub to a .mpg File for playing it on my standalone LG HR570S. Which software can I use?

    The m2V file contains a MPEG2 Videostream and I won't reencode it.

    Can't be done. If the audio and video is DVD compliant, author a DVD with selectable subs.

    I haven't seen any mpg muxer with subtitle support.

    You could try mux to a mpg with ImagoMPEG-Muxer and use a separate .sub file name it same as the video like video.mpg and video.sub and see if works.

    Or mux it to a dvd vob with muxman.

    Or mux it to a .ts file with tsmuxer.
