  1. Hi,

    i created a MPEG-2 file with Studio7. (DVD-standarts)
But when i try to import it to SpruceUp it stops at 36%.
The file is about 400Mb. (I try to burn a miniDVD.)

Is the file corrupt or is there any other problem?

    Thanx!

I would say that the file is corrupt. Try viewing the file with windows media player.

    1) Look at your GOP structure - Use REMPEG2 to read through the file and generate a log. Make sure that the structure is to DVD standards.

    2) Try demultiplexing the file again (use TMPG's DEMULTIPLEX option, NOT SIMPLE DEMUX). There might be a padding stream in your .M2V file that Spruceup can't handle.

    3) Load the file into PowerDVD and see if it can play it (WMP can play a file with a messed up GOP stream). I believe that Power is less tolerant of these errors.

  5. I was getting this too, really annoying after waiting an hour for the Mpeg to render only to find you cannot burn it.

It will even play ok with PowerDVD and WinDVD.

I found that if i reduced the size of the original capture file to less than 2M that it works 100% of the time, I typically keep the files around 1M or 8 Min of capture.

Having lots of smaller source files does not seem to bring on the problem.

I have not had an issue since using this method.
