Hi. I have an mp4 file which I only need certain parts of so I made a number of chunks using avidemux. I then used avidemux to 'open' the first chunk and 'append' the others. The problem with the new file is that, where chunks 1 and 2 meet, there is a very brief (half a second) burst of sound which comes from the beginning of chunk 1.
Very odd. Does anyone know why this happens and whether there's a solution?
Kind regards.

You could try join with mymp4boxgui, under the join tab add the mp4s and join.
Or try delete the parts that you don't need with avidemux(set start, stop and press delete) and then save as one mp4 directly. Instead of making several chunks. -
I never thought to delete the unneeded parts. Good idea, I'll give it a try. Thanks.
