cannot get HDMI to work...

hello.. Just built my first PC.

im having trouble getting the full output settings for my monitor. My video card is AMD Radeon HD 6800 series, and my monitor is an Asus VE248. I've been fiddling with the HDTV settings in the AMD Vision Engine Control Center but to no avail...I also have been setting my monitor to HDMI after turning my computer completely off and back on again and no luck...my DVI settings work fine but I just cannot get anything to come up on my display for HDMI. please help

No I don't know why it wont work. But the DVI works as fine has HDMI...if you don't need any audio then.
