  1. I try converting an avi files to mpeg for vcd burning .. however, there was no audio in the finished product ... I check the properties of my avi file, and there is audio, in MPEG Layer 3 format ...

    does TMPEG has problem with MPEG layer 3 audio format? .. cuz this was the program I used to encode to mpg file ... how can I solve this problem .. thanks ...

    when I watch the avi file, I can hear the audio ...

    A couple of things come to mind, Try first Installing the Nimo codec pack, sometimes the wrong codec can play the files, but the correct one is needed to convert.

    Also try this in TMPGEnc
    Select options > environmental settings
    click the VFAPI plug-in tab
    right click the "DirectShow" and select higher priority, do this several times until its at the top with a value of 4

    You can also save out the audio for use later using Vdub, if there are any problems after the above.

    Audio > full processing mode
    Audio > conversion > 44.1Khz
    SAVE WAV
