Problems with videos

I am having problems with my videos. I downloaded some videos and I can't synch the video to the audio and the video is jumpy. What can I do to fix this? Thank you.

We need MORE info.

What kind of video? Video container and codecs. Identify using mediainfo.
What kind of sync problems? Constant or does it get worse and worse.
What do you play with? Try vlc media player. It has builtin video decoders.

I hate VLC with a passion.

YOu should just try play with it too see how it works. If same problem it's probably the video source...or your computer is too slow.
