Can someone advise me where to find information, such as Compact Digital Audio, on a pre-recorded disc. We recently purchased the Magnavox DVD Recorder & Video Cassette Recorder. In the Playback section of the Owner's Manual there is a list of CDs that will not play on this unit. The manual identifies Compact Digital Audio as being the only type of CD that will play, but I cannot find either the Icon or any other description on the CD. We've been playing CDs most of the afternoon without a problem, but for some reason Santana's Supernatural CD has a terrible distortion problem. We tried playing it on the computer and another DVD player and there is nothing wrong with the CD's sound.
Thanks,
AliceWonder

Well, if it plays fine elsewhere, doesn't that indicate where the problem lies? If it's playing the disc, then it's not a format issue.
