I also use powervcr II. To talk to the first issue(split files) powervcrII out of the box will split a file into two when it reaches 650 meg. This is their sad attempt to "help" you by not forcing you to split the files yourself. What actually happens,however, is that the split is jittered and totally (in my opinion) messes up the capture. The fix for that is to edit your registry to where you can capture for several hours before it splits. Use the search function for "powervcr registry" or words to that affect and there is a post that shows you exactly how to go into your registry to "fix" it for this (also with the added bonus of setting up 352 x 480 or 480x480 captures
)
I cant remember from your computer details, what o/s you are on, but the problem may be in two areas. One is you dont have the input set up correctly (i.e. line in, audio in, etc.). Two, powervcr II (did you install the upgrade from powervcr's site yet) has a update for this that you can download. When it happens to me, I click through all the options (tv/composite/cam, etc.) and then it works (some people suggest a reboot).
Also, just a suggestion here (and I am not Japanese), you might want to change the section in your computer details from "japcrap" to something else. This board is viewed by millions of people from ALL over the world and some of them might not take kindly to that reference. Also, the person that ends up helping you out may be Japanese.
If you cant find the audio update, the registry fix, etc. let me/us know and we'll see what else we can do. -
installed the patch,all i get is a blank screen and the message your system is not configured to your capture device................strange though the software i got with the voodoo is working though...
