i have a magnavox vcr/dvd combo and i was recording a tv show and when i went to watch the tape the audio on the tape sounded like if someone was fast forwarding through the audio. you can't hear anything from the actual tv show. the image is also somewhat distorted. i've taped with this vcr to this tape before and it was perfectly fine and you could still watch what was previously recored to the tape just not the last show. i don't understand what could be causing this. Does anyone know how this could be fixed?

If this is the only time this every happen, possibly glitch in the tape ( bend, fold, tear or Bad tape ).

i tried the tape with another vcr i taped over that part and nothing happened it sounded fine and the image was fine too. so i think it is the vcr i just don't understand why i can watch other tapes with no problem, i can even watch the beginning of that same tape on that vcr and it works fine. its just the last 2 hours that came out like that.

Sounds like a dirty or faulty recording head. I don't know that those can be cleaned like the play heads.
