Hey Guys! I'm new here on the forum so first of all let me say hello to all you folks!
I am terrible when it comes to working with video
anyways, I'm trying to burn some subtitles into the video using a program called "any video converter", the only thing is that it will not find any subtitles in the video fileI believe this is because the subtitles for the movie are in the separate .IFO file that appears after I decrypt the video with DVD Decrypter. All I need is a good .srt format subtitle file that lines up with the movies sound, And hopefully without having to look at all the subtitles and spoil the movie
does anyone know of a way to rip subtitles from the .ifo into a .srt format? or is there a better way? I'm trying to watch one of my DVD's on my PSP lol, so it has to be an MP4 format

If you find this IFO file in a VIDEO_TS folder (along with VOB files), then that IFO file does NOT contain subtitles. Subtitles on DVD are stored inside the VOB files, together with the video and audio.
The Subtitle Tools section will have several apps that are capable of saving SRT subtitles from DVD or a VIDEO_TS folder.
You could use a mencoder-based encoder to convert from VIDEO_TS directly to MP4 with burned in subtitles. Although I'm not sure if mencoder's output conforms to PSP specs.Last edited by Case; 18th Dec 2010 at 03:13.

Thank you for the information!
I'll look around for a good free Mencoder encoder, do you know of any that are both decent and free?
I think the PSP can take up to 320 x 240 resolution tops, it takes ACC audio codec and MJEPG video codec.
Thanks for the help!
I've tried using AutoGK, but it throws off the audio because it makes the video longer than its original length. (maybe because its a Japanese DVD?would their be some settings perhaps I could edit?
Thanks for your help!
