  5. most do not, most need to be authored

    also what kind of m2ts ? not all are compliant, some need to be re-encoded

    If you're looking for an inexpensive player then....

    I bought a LG BD530 yesterday for $80 at BB. I can verify it plays all raw M2TS (Mpeg2, AVC, VC1), MKV, Divx and Xvid files from disc or USB stick.

    Is it restricted to M2TS files with standard Blu-ray resolutions (1920x1080, 1280x720)? Many Blu-ray players will only play those frame sizes.

    It seems not to be restricted to Blu-ray specs.

    I resized a file to a weird res, 1120x394 m2ts (AVC) and it played fine on the LG as it did on my PS3.
