... if my MPEG vidfile has variable bitrate audio?
Is it an external audio source?
The file is transcoded into the pc with a Haup TV tuner card...
I deleted a segment with Avidemux, and it threw the audio out of sync.
Then I found the Audio shift button, and got the right shift, but how do I save the shift? AFTER clip removal? BEFORE?

 1) MPEG video doesn't support VBR audio so I suppose the answer is that it does not - assuming that you are correct in calling it MPEG.
 2) You don't.
 3) Hauppauge cards don't capture VBR audio, but I am making an assumption that you mean that the file was recorded with a Hauppauge card. Your wording is strange.

Can't help you with Avidemux questions. It could be a problem with the source though and not necessarily what you did.

	Thanks...

The file 'Properties' says, 'Type; MPEG video', MIME type; video/mpeg', so MPEG is all I know for sure.

Only question then is how/when do I save the 'Shift' (of audio)...

Yup - figured it out... Thanks!

First the vid edit, and save, then the sync shift, re-save (I don't know if saving 2 edit functions at one time makes a 'lesser' quality file or not tho'...)???

It came out nearly perfect, except for 2 segments that seemed to 'drag' a little, and another length with no audio................

Is there a way to check the edited vid without playing the whole video? Is the a check sum process that does this? Or something like this?
