Hi guys, do any of you know of any freeware tools that will show the AC-3 dialnorm setting of an MPEG-2 file with AC-3 audio? I couldn't seem to find any among the tools, but, of course, I didn't try them all. Thanks.

ftp://ftp.coises.com/vobdnorm-1.0.zip will let you change the value on an existing .VOB

To determine the existing dialnorm, you can download a recent Aften build. Included is a file called wavrms.exe. Pipe the output of the ac3 into wavrms

    ac3 output | wavrms - 80 1200

    Both command line apps...

Project X will also tell you

I know this is bumping a really old thread, but this is a great tool.
As far as I know, know one else has done anything remotely like this.

Has there been any further development (I'd love it to automatically increment and continue to the next numbered Vob)?
Has anyone found any problems with using this?
