Hello All,
Almost done with all of my video conversions. I've run across an MP4 file (attached) that will neither play nor convert in any of the many programs I have. The file has a size, so there's something there, but I'm assuming that it's corrupt in some way, so it won't play/convert? If anyone can take a look at the file and let me know if there's anything there, and if there's anything I can do to convert it to flash for my companies website, it'd be greatly appreciated.

it seems like you are trying...neway nice try coz...
it is fake mp4 file which does not contain and audio and video data as well as valid headers.
Other readers should stay away coz might be virus. -
it's definitely not a virus, this file was on our server but I cannot get it to play on an mp4 player or convert the file. Feel free to avoid downloading, but that's ridiculous that you're accusing me of sending people virus's. This is a legitimate question here, so please go away if you're going to be unhelpful and a jerk. Real respondents only please.

The plural of virus is viruses. See:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plural_form_of_words_ending_in_-us
Just sticking a random 's on the end of some English word doesn't make it a plural.
But to the point at hand, I don't know you personally or your motivation so I am supposed to blindly download any file you post and trust that it is not destructive because...??? And given that you joined fairly recently, it's not like you have been here a long time and have an established history with us. And even if you did, that file still might be infected. Again, since I don't know you or where you got this file from or have access to your PC, I have no idea if you have any anti-virus software or if you scanned the file after you got it and so on.
Anyway, stop being pissed off and read Bonie81's post for your explanation. -
Thank you so much for so kindly pointing out my spelling mistake to me as well as providing a link. But please, unless my spelling is so bad that you can't understand me, feel free to not correct me. I'm ok with being human and occasionally making mistakes.
In my last message I said to 'feel free to avoid downloading' the file if there was any concern. It's not my intention to give anyone any sort of virus, and I'm not forcing anyone that mistrusts my file to do anything with it. I was just trying to ask a simple question.

Kmartin,
Stick around awhile and you'll continue to see jman98's misanthropic ways. (Been here, observed/experienced that on the receiving end.)
The odd thing about jman98 is his repeated and ongoing "Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde" personality.
When he's Dr. Jeckyll, he can provide clear, concise, and useful feedback, guidance, and suggestions.
When he's Mr. Hyde . . . . well, you read and experienced it for yourself. (Welcome to a non-exclusive club!)Last edited by CobraPilot; 31st Aug 2010 at 16:41. Reason: Corrected typo before jman98 could chastise me!! ;-)

hahaha
Thanks guys. I'm appreciative of everything really, and think this forum is great. As for jman, I really hate when people feel the need to correct others to make feel better than other people. I mean, who cares? If I wanted a spelling lesson I'd go back to college. Thank god for spell check.
