    It's not the PC other MP3's etc are ok....I just can't get any sound

    Is there a fix

    PS checked with virtual dub and it says audio compression UNKNOWN (Tag 2000) is this the problem

    and if so how can I fix it

    When you load the file into Gold Wave, does it show any audio on it?

    Am downloading Goldwave now is there any other way of checking it, I have virtual dub

    PS Am extracting audio file to WAV with Virtual Dub

    So it must be there !!!!!

    Since you have audio on your other files, I believe your file is missing its audio. So when you load it into an audio editor, you will know for sure if your video file has audio.

    I've extracted the `WAV` file using virtual dub, but the 156MB file refuses to play, giving me a message that no codecs exist to play this file
