  1. What is the differences? I've been having trouble lately with burning a few SVCD's, some burn with Disc at Once, others will not. I get an error in Nero saying: "Could not perform start of Disc at Once." In looking at the .cue file of the ones that wouldnt burn DAO, they were different than the norm. I.E:

    FILE "movie.bin" BINARY
    TRACK 01 MODE2/2352
    FLAGS DCP
    INDEX 01 00:00:00
    TRACK 02 MODE2/2352
    FLAGS DCP
    INDEX 00 00:05:10
    INDEX 01 00:07:10
    INDEX 02 00:07:11
    INDEX 03 07:20:61
    INDEX 04 14:46:28
    INDEX 05 22:09:62
    INDEX 06 29:26:31
    INDEX 07 36:34:48
    INDEX 08 43:46:39
    INDEX 09 51:13:46
    INDEX 10 58:55:00
    INDEX 11 66:15:46
    INDEX 12 73:38:70

So, I burned this Track At Once, and then it would not play on the standalone player. What is wrong?

I dont know if its the cue or not, but I beleive the trouble seemed to have started after I installed CDRWIN, which did not work and I uninstalled it.

  2. Ok it seems that the problem is my burner will not burn 'Disk at Once' at all now, which it had been all along. It seemed to have started when I tried CDRWIN again. That program didnt recognize my drives at all and I uninstalled it. Did it corrupt something?? I reinstalled ASPI and Nero already.

The only way I was able to burn the CD I mentioned above was by extracting the .bin to the harddrive, then burning a SVCD with Nero, Track at Once.

Also, it seems Im unable to copy CD's since Nero uses DisK at Once.

    HELP!!

With 'Track-at-Once', every track is written individually, which means that the laser is switched off after every track.

With 'Disc-At-Once', the whole disk is written in one go without deactivating the laser. in this process, more data is written, which can produce better results.

Audio, VCD SVCD should always be burned using Disc-at-Once even though it is also possible to select Track-At-Once.

  4. Would you have any idea why TAO would work and not DAO?

It actually gives me an error before it starts recording that it 'cannot perform start of Disk at Once'.

You can burn a MPEG in TAO mode, but a bin image must be burnt DAO.
Some burners do not support DAO.

  7. But Ive been burning DAO for a long time. Its just recently it happened. I reinstalled the Intel App Accelerator and it worked to copy 1 CD at DAO. Then I tried to burn the damn BIN again and it gave me the error.

Is it just this Bin Iso thats giving your problem, what about regular VCD's ?

  9. Yea I think it must be the .bin. But after attempting to burn that image, it seems to do something to the drive that won't allow it to DAO unless I reboot or reinstall software. I havent figured it out yet..

Can anyone explain why that .bin looks like the one above, and not the normal 4 line one?

It is a normal cuesheet. *.cue, not *.bin.

    FILE "movie.bin" BINARY <---path\filename
    TRACK 01 MODE2/2352 <---type of track 1 (data)
FLAGS DCP <---Digital Copy Permitted (DCP) subcode flag
    INDEX 01 00:00:00 <---starting time of track 1
    TRACK 02 MODE2/2352 <---type of track 2 (video)
FLAGS DCP <---Digital Copy Permitted (DCP) subcode flag
    INDEX 00 00:05:10 <---starting time of track 2
    INDEX 01 00:07:10 <---entry point ("chapter")
    INDEX 02 00:07:11 <---entry point ("chapter")
    INDEX 03 07:20:61 <---entry point ("chapter")
    INDEX 04 14:46:28 <---entry point ("chapter")

I guess it has a lot more features, Menu etc constructed instead of a plain ISO
