  1. I've used ulead dvd movie factory 4 to cap with this card for years. I recently installed a new copy of XP, now ulead is stating "failed to connect to driver". I've installed the driver and tried re-installing ulead, but no luck.
    Suggestions?

  2. I'm very grateful. But ulead still couldn't connect to the card.
Ulead is asking me the field order upper or lower first?

Did you update to DirectX 9.0c and install Windows XP Service Pack 3 and go to Windows Update and get all update?.

  6. I have XP sp3 and Direct Xsdk which I believe has c in it. I believe hauppauge provides direct xb with the card's software cd.
I noticed since this new windows install my other card an ATI tv wonder 650 doesn't work with Catalyst and Power Cinema. Both programs state that they can't access the live tv function. Both programs worked fine before I re-installed XP.
Should I go into regedit and change something?

One way is you need look on the Motherbaord for the model number there usely by a ISA, PCI or PCIe slots and some times at back of the baord or buttom side of the board
Other ways are by Bios Number
Just google by looking for "model number on the motherboard" or "how to identifying a motherboard" and for Bios it "how to find bios number" or "check bios info"

You just pointed out the source of your problem. No Drivers.
If I'd known I was going to live this long, I'd have taken better care of myself.

  13. Always remember, The Device Manager is your friend.
But seriously, Once you get everything working good, use cloning software to create a backup of the freshly installed system so you can get it back easily. my 2 favorites.
drive snapshot - trial version works great, use BartPE or similar to restore.
