I tried encoding an mkv file with an srt sub for my ipod touch and found that Handbrake is throwing the subs to the end of the video. Is there a way of correcting this? I've tried different files from different encoders but its the same thing. I see an offset button in the subtitles section but how does this work?

It can't burn in external srt subs. Try ipodme instead.
Or try make a mp4 with switchable subtitles that might work on the ipod with Srt iPhone.
