Help diagnose MiniDV issue?

Hi guys,

I bought a used MiniDV camcorder a month back, to record footage from ym remote controlled plane. It's ben 100% fine for the first month of use (This is a 2001 model JVC camera). In the last week though, I have been getting strange lines on the screen... It seems to happen a lot on the blue sky, or red... wait, it happens all over the place, but is more noticable on the blue sky.

I've attached a screenie of a frame where I can see it, but if you watch the YouTube video, you should notice it.

Could this be dirty heads??

I am using cheap TDK tapes... The first 15 recordings were fine... but then it suddently went bad.. I tried a brand new tape (in this video) wityh the same issues.

Hope someone can help diagnose.

It must be parasites or bad reception ? try to make better isolation in your ym remote. Check the cables of your analog input of your camcorder too.

I've never seen this on a MiniDV.

Do old tapes play OK?

Did you crash the plane? It could be a loose internal connection.
