  1. I've trying to enhance my anime using sharpen filters.
however, even though the edges are so much more distinct now, its generally jagged.

do you guys know any filter that works like the 3d anti-aliasing?

    thanks in advance..

  2. was it jaggy before or after sharpening?

sharpening should accentuate ringing, not aliasing

if you are truly describing aliasing, then it's tough to get rid of without blurring (which counteracts your sharpening). Some filters you could try

if it's not aliasing that you're describing, then post a screenshot or describe it better

Not sure what you are asking.

What is your source? Antialias is used to fit a sharp high quality source into a limited bandwidth. It is not a good way to correct an over sharp source.

    I assume you're using Avisynth

LimitedSharpenFaster seems to give a smoother edge than other sharpeners. Not so powerful though. I use it on old VHS captures at strength between 100 and 225.

But I don't do much cartoons. For that see Scintilla's Guide to AVISynth Postprocessing Filters
