Hello everyone,
I'm trying to convert my srt subtitle into sup format using SubtitleCreator.
My problem accure when i'm watching my movie on my dvd,
my added subtitles doesn't look smooth, is there a way to fix this?
I've heard somewhere the term "anti-aliasing" is connected to this problem,
any idea how to fix this using SubtitleCreator or using any other software?
Thanks in advance.

Hey,
The common form of anti-aliasing uses a "bridging" colour to smooth scaled text edges against the border. For instance, with white text and black border, a good anti-aliasing colour might be dark grey. It is of course also possible to smooth the subtitle edge (even the border if it has one) against the background, but I don't think subtitling programs do this.
You _could_ post-process your subtitles; however you'd only be able to change the palette (colours) - the rendering's been done. Therefore I suggest you rather spend some time with the SC documentation to see how to optimise anti-aliasing within that program. I don't have it installed right now, but as I recall the render quality was acceptable with suitably chosen colours.
Regards,
Francois
